What is BOY'D?
BOY'D is a queer-owned Australian men's swimwear and underwear brand, designed in Melbourne since 2023. We make three ranges: Candy swimwear, Afterglow underwear, and Afterdark partywear.
What fabric is BOY'D underwear made from?
Our Afterglow briefs and jockstraps are made from Lenzing modal, a silky "vegan silk" spun from renewable beech wood. It is breathable, moisture-wicking, resists shrinking and pilling, and is more sustainable than cotton. More on our fabrics.
What is your swimwear made from?
Our Candy swim briefs use a quick-drying blend of 82% polyamide and 18% spandex with 4-way stretch, built to handle chlorine, salt and sun while holding their shape.
How do BOY'D briefs fit? Should I size up?
Our swimwear has a tailored, low-rise fit. If you prefer a more relaxed feel, size up. Sizes run XS to XL (waist 28" to 38", hip 34" to 46"). Each product page lists the model's size and measurements to help you choose.
Are your swim briefs suitable for actual swimming?
Yes. They are front-lined with a hidden internal drawstring and a self-elasticated waistband, so they stay put through dives and laps, and the quick-drying fabric is ready to go again fast.
Is BOY'D queer-owned?
Yes, proudly. BOY'D is made by and for queer men, and embedded in Melbourne's queer community.
Where is BOY'D made?
Every BOY'D silhouette is designed in-house in Melbourne, with original pattern-making and our own fabric development. We do not sell white-label or wholesale stock.
How do I care for my BOY'D?
Cold gentle machine wash or hand wash with like colours, no bleach, no tumble dry, and lay flat or hang to dry. Rinse swimwear in fresh water after chlorine or salt to protect the colour and stretch.
Where do you ship and what does it cost?

What is your returns policy?
